Oktoberfest: Colorful velvet vests with lederhosen from the label Saubazi – Munich

Peter Backmund designs colorful velvet vests for men who like to attract attention with his label “Saubazi”. Why the Miesbacher Ketterlvest is particularly flattering and why he would never go to the Oktoberfest in sneakers.

Peter Backmund’s life is a list of new beginnings. After school, he initially trained as a bank clerk. He later worked at the Robinson Club for eight years. Two of them in Tunisia, four in Turkey and one each in Austria and Mallorca. Back in Munich in 1996, he retrained, first becoming a television editor, today he is an editor and, since 2014, a traditional costume designer on the side. He called his label “Saubazi”. The desire to have my own business and to name it after the Bavarian expression for a rascal came first. Then he came up with the idea of making traditional vests in bright colors and with patterned fabrics.
