One can argue about whether the museum tent is one of the classic beer tents at the Oktoberfest or not. In terms of character, it is more of a museum location for exhibits from the Munich Showman Foundation. However, there is also a gastro area with a bar.
This is exactly what makes the museum tent an insider tip: if it seems that all the tents on the Theresienwiese are already closed due to overcrowding, then it’s worth taking a look inside. A lot has to happen before the masses get lost here in the furthest corner of the Oidn Wiesn. The children are also taken care of here. From Monday to Friday between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. there is a colorful program for the younger Wiesn visitors.
The museum tent offers Bavarian delicacies such as onion meat or roast pork. Like every marquee at the Wiesn, the Tradition marquee also has its very own tapping ritual. The beer comes from the Spaten brewery and is served in steins.
