Hugo Novoa will not be chasing goals for RB Leipzig for the next 18 months. The Saxons agreed a loan deal with FC Basel until the summer of 2024.
Hugo Novoa would find it difficult to get enough match practice in the Red Bulls’ top-class squad in the near future. Both sides therefore agreed that a loan would be the most sensible solution – the right buyer was found in the top Swiss club FC Basel.
As part of the loan deal, the 19-year-old’s contract, which ran until 2024, was also extended to 2025. In the long term, RBL is fully relying on the flexible Spaniard.
