On June 13, 1996, Marcel Reich-Ranicki wore a yellow tie with red stripes (the colors of the Spanish flag) in the “literary quartet” and pronounced the then wildly acclaimed author wrong, namely Javier Márias, which immediately corrected him to a Marías became.
