Obituary for Kiev Stingl: rampage against himself – culture

Kiev Stingl, the most broken German singer, screamer, musician and unrecognized poet, died late at the age of 80.

It doesn’t work without at least an eighth of megalomania, “only the scoundrels are modest,” as a local Hessian great once said, who then rose to the position of minister, but no one wrote more cocky than Kiev Stingl: “The whole of Germany naked on its knees / in front of one ‘To the man / who sings / when in his honor / One sun god after another sinks / I still have the dust on my boots.”
