Obituary for Johanna von Koczian: Prevented Diva – Culture

Johanna von Koczian came to German films as the Danish Kirsten Hansen, lisped her way through Kurt Hoffmann’s “We Wunderkinder” (1958), took on the good-natured and somewhat naive Hansjörg Felmy, who, unlike the opportunist Bruno (Robert Graf), in every system becomes a loser. In 1959, the film was considered a satirical and therefore exemplary reappraisal of the Nazi years, which were followed by the German economic miracle, during which, as the cabaret artist Wolfgang Neuss sang, the “belly became much rounder.”
