It must have been strange in recent years – the brothers Vittorio and Paolo Taviani worked together all their lives, made films, they were only mentioned in the same breath. But Paolo Taviani, the younger of the two, outlived his brother Vittorio by six years. He died on Thursday, aged 92, in Rome.
