Oberschleißheim – Nikolaus in the refugee home – Munich district

The Oberschleissheimer Helferkreis Asyl organized a small Advent celebration for children in the refugee accommodation on Bahnhofstrasse: St. Nicholas paid a visit to the approximately 40 boys and girls. With a red coat and a white beard, Green Councilor Christoph Münster gave each child a bag with toys, sweets and fruit. For many children it was the first encounter with Santa Claus, as stated in a press release from the Helferkreis. In the past few days, two families from Afghanistan have moved into the refugee accommodation. The celebration, which was also financially supported by the district office this year, ended with the singing of Christmas carols. As in previous years, “In der Christmas Bakery” was the undisputed favorite of the children.
