An 80-year-old homeowner in Oberschleißheim showed two con artists their limits. The two rang the bell at around 3:25 p.m. on Tuesday and claimed they were craftsmen. They pretended that the gas and water pipes were damaged during work in the neighborhood. That is why they have to check whether everything is in order in the pensioner’s house. When one of the two was fiddling with two pipes in the basement, the other claimed he had to check the water flow upstairs in the bathroom. The 80-year-old became suspicious and told the men to leave his home. He called the police and the fake artisans fled without prey. The police called on everyone who observed suspicious things in the area of Feierabendstrasse, Ruffinistraße and Theodor-Heuss-Straße at the said time to report.
