A six-year-old boy fell about eight meters from a chair lift in the Oberjoch Bad Hindelang ski area (Oberallgäu district). The slightly injured boy was taken to a hospital in a rescue helicopter, the police announced on Monday.
The six-year-old went on the chairlift last Friday with his ski instructor and another child. He is said to have been unable to get completely into the seat and close the bar. The teacher tried to alert elevator employees to the situation by shouting. But according to the police, this failed. The woman was initially able to hold on to the boy, but then he fell out of the elevator. First the police investigated. The focus was therefore on the question of why the lift employee had not noticed the situation.
