Oberhaching – Hofreiter in the election campaign? – District of Munich

Just recently, Toni Hofreiter made a highly acclaimed appearance when he headed the EU committee of the German Bundestag – with his 15-month-old son on his lap. Of course, the pictures went viral and of course the Green MP from Unterhaching received nationwide praise and scolding for it. Now an attentive reader has sent a photo of the family man to the editorial office, which shows Hofreiter without a child, but which raises even more questions: he is hanging – on a poster – in Oberhaching on a fence, with a sunflower at lapel level and the saying ” For a climate-friendly future” in the chest and stomach area and with the request for both voices on the lips.

“No idea when and how he got there,” wrote the reader. It goes without saying that the editors started investigative research to uncover all the background and also quickly found an answer to the question of how: Hofreiter’s likeness was stapled to the fence. The question of when, on the other hand, turns out to be more difficult. The poster was discovered almost a year after the most recent general election and more than three years before the next, that much is certain. At a point in time when politicians don’t normally smack you from billboards for both votes. Things don’t get any easier when you know that the court rider Toni wasn’t hanging there a few days before he was discovered on the Alpenstrasse and just a few days later he wasn’t hanging there anymore – as if swallowed up by the earth. A brief appearance only, a phenomenon that no science can explain?

There is evidence that the poster was fixed to a pole, quite legally, during the autumn 2021 election phase. The investigations into this poster affair are not yet complete, but the advanced weathering of Toni Hofreiter suggests that he was exposed to wind and weather for a long time. Maybe it was ripped off the post by a green hater and thrown on the grass behind the fence. Maybe months later a Green voter discovered it there and presented it to the public again. Same as: The desire for a climate-friendly future is still relevant.
