Oberhaching – Bund Naturschutz: A new chairman for the anniversary – district of Munich

The Oberhaching local group of the Bund Naturschutz celebrated its 40th anniversary and also elected a new board. Gerhard Mebus and Eike Hagenguth as first and second chairmen were replaced by Rainer Warmke and Kristin Schulte. The Oberhaching local group was founded on October 4, 1982. At that time, the local environmental problems had already been addressed, the local group said. In particular, efforts have been made to protect endangered species and their habitats, and attempts have been made to preserve spawning waters for endangered amphibians, such as the yellow-bellied toad. The topics that were important in the 1980s, such as speed limits, factory farming and nuclear energy, have lost none of their relevance. They made it clear what enormous importance the work of the local group has always enjoyed and will enjoy in the future.
