The atmosphere in Munich’s O2 Tower seems to be quite good. At least Markus Haas, 49, CEO of Telefónica Deutschland (brand: O2) since 2017, looks quite relaxed into the camera. Business is going well and he is hoping for a spirit of optimism from the new government in Berlin. The new 5G radio technology is particularly close to his heart, for him an important building block for the urgently needed digitization of the country.
