Nursing home in Seubersdorf: Nurse is said to have mistreated residents – Bavaria

According to the public prosecutor’s office, a geriatric nurse mistreated several elderly people in a nursing home in Seubersdorf (Neumarkt district). The Nuremberg-Fürth public prosecutor’s office announced on Monday that the Neumarkt district court will now decide whether there will be a trial.

According to the investigation, the 33-year-old man is said to have, among other things, dragged old people across the aisle, beat them and caused them minor injuries. He himself has not yet commented on the allegations.

Specifically, the man is said to have disciplined residents with physical measures between 2019 and 2022 if he didn’t like their behavior. He locked a 90-year-old woman in the so-called dementia garden of the home for minutes in the drizzle. He is said to have grabbed an 87-year-old woman under her arms and dragged her through several rooms in the facility. He is said to have turned off the power to the night bell for a 92-year-old so that she could no longer call for help.

In total, the public prosecutor’s office accuses the nurse of twelve attacks on six women and one man. Investigations against three managers of the affected retirement home have been discontinued. No wrongdoing could be proven.
