Anyone who looks at the comments in question must realize that the zoo is not interpreting the deletion warning in a small-minded way. From which we can derive a lot about the condition of the fur that zookeepers and zoologists have to adopt. Threats? Special friends apparently consider morality to be absolutely ethically appropriate.
Others, on the other hand, argue that with its aggressive move into the public eye, the zoo is “badging Nuremberg and its residents throughout Germany.” He has “no right” to do that. What would be a supposed solution? “Don’t talk for long, just do it.”
That’s exactly what zoo director Dag Encke doesn’t want. In the SZ he explained in detail what motivates him as a zoologist to advocate such killings as a last resort for species protection. Encke naturally suspected that not everyone would go along with his argument – after examining alternatives such as area expansion, animal surrender, release into the wild, castration and contraception.
