Nuremberg: Couple hits child at playground – Bavaria

A 13-year-old was held at a Nuremberg playground, beaten by a woman and her husband and was seriously injured as a result. The police said on Friday that he had previously argued with another child on Thursday for initially unclear reasons. The boy was then hit in the face and upper body by the other child’s 25-year-old mother. Meanwhile, he was held by a previously unknown woman.

Two of the 13-year-old’s sisters tried to settle the argument, it was said. The 25-year-old’s husband then came along with two acquaintances and hit the 18-year-old sister in the face. He then threw the 13-year-old to the ground and hit him with his fist. Only when the sister threatened to call the police did the man flee with his wife and acquaintances.

During a subsequent search, the 36-year-old was temporarily arrested, it was said. The 13-year-old suffered serious injuries and was taken to a hospital where he is being treated. The 18-year-old was slightly injured. The police are now investigating suspected grievous bodily harm. Witnesses are asked to contact investigators.
