Nuremberg – baton use at demo – Bavaria

Police officers used batons and pepper spray against demonstrators in a left-wing demonstration in Nuremberg after some people reportedly behaved aggressively. According to the police, nobody was injured, as a spokeswoman said on Sunday. Under the motto “Demonstration against repression”, around 600 people demonstrated against police violence and the imprisonment of left-wing activists on Saturday. Some of the participants were masked, and isolated firecrackers were thrown in the direction of the police. When the police tried to stop the move with a police chain, some demonstrators tried to break it violently.
