On the occasion of the Nuit Blanche, the Théâtre du Châtelet welcomes the Cabaret New Burlesque within its walls for performances on the night of Saturday October 1 to Sunday October 2, 2022.

A Sleepless night which is likely to be colorful! To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Parisian cultural event, the Chatelet theater invites the curious to come and discover several shows of the New Burlesque Cabaret Saturday, October 1, 2022, in the evening. Funny, generous and festive, the American troupe, reformed by Kitty Hartl for the occasion, signs its return to the capital to amaze Parisians, Ile-de-France residents and tourists passing through with a program fully in line with the theme of this 20th anniversary, the “Garden of Delights“.

And delights, the artists have it in spades! So, throughout the evening, the latter will offer several stripping services, “discipline as sparkling as it is committed“. A total of five “creatures”, all with evocative names (Julie Atlas Muz, Mimi Le Meaux, Dirty Martini, Kitten of the Keys and Roky Roulette), go like this”flirt with prohibitions, but always with great elegance“, through “un sequence of numbers punctuated by the mistress of ceremonies Kitten on the Keys“, but also “songs, humor and glamor“.

A troupe that you may know, by the way… And for good reason: they are known throughout the world through a film by Mathieu Amalric, Tourreleased in 2010 and presented at Cannes film festival the same year. Artists who have succeeded in updating the art of stripping and having it rediscovered throughout Europe and beyond. We go to Chatelet theater for the Sleepless nightthe friends ?

The Nuit Blanche 2022 program at the Théâtre du Châtelet:

  • NEW BURLESQUE CABARET
    Saturday, October 1, 2022 from 8:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.

Funny, generous and festive, Cabaret New Burlesque is back! For Nuit blanche, Kitty Hartl is re-forming the American troupe which enjoyed success by touring the European stages and playing the protagonists of Mathieu Amalric’s film (Tour – 2010) awarded at the Cannes Film Festival.
Updating the ancestral art of stripping into a discipline as sparkling as it is committed, the Cabaret New Burlesque serves as a leader in contemporary burlesque, a precursor movement to the practices of empowerment that we know today.
On the program, a sequence of numbers punctuated by the mistress of ceremonies Kitten on the Keys, songs, humor and glamor at the Théâtre du Châtelet. Five creatures with evocative names, as if fallen from Hieronymus Bosch’s triptych, somewhere between two worlds, bring us back to all the ambiguity of our human condition: flirting with taboos but always with great elegance.
With the logistical support of the Théâtre du Châtelet and MAC Cosmetics.

Funny, generous and festive as ever, the Cabaret New Burlesque is back! For White Night, Kitty Hartl has reformed the American troupe that enjoyed such success touring Europe’s theaters and embodying the protagonists in Mathieu Amalric’s film (On Tour – 2010), which won the Best Director award at the Cannes Festival.
Updating the age-old art of striptease and turning it into a discipline as scintillating as it is dedicated, the New Burlesque Cabaret acts as pacesetter in the realm of contemporary burlesque, a movement foreshadowing the empowerment practices we know today.
On the programme, a series of numbers introduced by Mistress of Ceremonies Kitten on the Keys, songs, humor and glamor at the Châtelet Theatre. Five suggestively named creatures who might well have stepped out of Hieronymus Bosch’s triptych, somewhere between two worlds, highlight all the ambiguity of our human condition, flirting with the forbidden, but always with a great deal of elegance.
