In Solingen, a 100-year-old house with wooden ceilings burns. The fire spreads quickly. The fire department has now brought the fire under control. Nine people are injured.

The fire department has dealt with the serious house fire Solingen brought under control in the morning. But extinguishing work was still ongoing, a fire department spokesman said around 9 a.m. The number of injured has increased to nine compared to initial information, he said. These include two seriously injured and seven seriously injured.

Three people were killed in the house fire, including a child. They were found in the attic of the old building, the spokesman said. One person is still missing. It is suspected that the dead were members of a family.

According to him, the fire spread very quickly in the approximately 100-year-old house with wooden ceilings and a wooden staircase. A person jumped out of a window to escape the flames.
