- After the state elections, there could be a traffic light or black-green government in North Rhine-Westphalia, and a grand coalition is considered unlikely.
- The SPD is moving away from the idea of a traffic light coalition with the FDP and the Greens. The Liberals also think this is unlikely. The Greens do not yet show a clear preference.
- As a consequence of the state elections, the traffic light coalition in Berlin is considering possible further relief.
