A bouncy castle tips over at a spring festival in Lohmar near Cologne. There are slightly injured children, the police are investigating.

After the overturning of a bouncy castle in Lohmar near Cologne with 14 slightly injured children, the police are investigating on suspicion of negligent bodily harm against the operator and supervisors. Why the bouncy castle fell on its side at a spring festival on Sunday evening still has to be clarified during the ongoing investigation, a police spokesman said on Monday.

Among other things, witnesses should be interviewed. Supervisors had previously stated to the police that children had climbed around the playground equipment contrary to instructions.

According to the police, the slightly injured children between the ages of eight and 13 mostly suffered abrasions and bruises. They were treated by the emergency services on site. Initially, the police had reported twelve slightly injured children.
