A young woman is reported missing in Siegen and is being searched for with great effort. On the same day, a farmer found a woman’s body more than 200 kilometers away in Emmerich.
A 23-year-old woman, who the police searched for with great effort in Siegen in North Rhine-Westphalia on Monday, was found dead more than 200 kilometers away on the German-Dutch border. A comparison of photos showed that the dead person found in Emmerich was the 23-year-old missing person, said a spokesman for the Siegen police in Hagen on Monday evening. She was the victim of a violent crime.
Dead woman: 23-year-old suspect arrested
In the course of the investigation, the police arrested a 23-year-old suspect in Siegen in the early afternoon, according to a statement. Initially, there was no further information about the course of the crime, the background and the motive. A farmer had the 23-year-old on a dirt road near Highway 3 in the morning Emmerich found dead.
Hundreds of riot police, sniffer dogs and a helicopter were deployed during the search in a forest northeast of Siegen.
