“I’m waiting for justice to do its job, I’m waiting for justice to show more evidence.” Friday, on the antennas of BFMTV, the wife of Mohamed Bendriss, Nour, declared waiting for justice “to do its job”.
As a reminder, three Raid police officers were indicted on Thursday after the death of Mohamed in Marseille in the riots following the death of Nahel in Nanterre. They are suspected of having carried out LBD shots (defense ball launchers) which caused the death of the 27-year-old man on the night of July 1 to 2 in the center of Marseille.

According to the prosecution, the exploitation of CCTV images showed that during the night, when the Raid column had been informed of a new looting of the Foot Locker store and its reserve, in the center of Marseille, Mohamed Bendriss continued on a scooter a man who fled with a bag “containing goods stolen from this business”.
The fugitive on foot, who was later arrested, indicated during his hearing that a man on a scooter “tried to take the bag from him and chased him”, forcing him to abandon the stolen goods, adds the wooden floor.
“There is therefore evidence that these two individuals were involved in an action of fraudulent appropriation in a context of widespread looting of downtown stores,” he said.
“They are trying to smear his image when he is no longer there,” regretted the widow, adding that she could not explain what happened that night because she was not present. “Even if he had done that, it doesn’t justify going to kill him,” she remarked.
Additional investigations must be carried out “as to the regularity of the conditions of use of the weapons used against” Mohamed Bendriss and “to the proportionality of this commitment”, underlined the prosecution.
