Notre-Dame de Paris celebrates its topping-out ceremony, just five years after the major fire – culture

There is a crisis almost everywhere – and good news is as rare as construction projects that don’t turn into scandals. So here’s finally some happy news in dark times: On Friday, the last dowels were sunk into the rafters of the Notre-Dame de Paris cathedral. The church, which was almost ruined after a fire in spring 2019, could be reopened at the end of the year.
