North Korea tests missiles for nuclear warheads (video)

North Korea says it has tested missiles again. Prime Minister Kim Jong Un has overseen the launch of two long-range strategic cruise missiles, state news agency KCNA reported on Thursday. Wednesday’s test was designed to “improve the combat effectiveness and strength” of cruise missiles that the Korean People’s Army has at its disposal “for deploying tactical nuclear weapons,” the report said. Kim said the launches were further clear warnings to its “enemies”. North Korea had first tested a strategic cruise missile in September 2021, which analysts assumed could carry nuclear warheads. Kim has announced the development of smaller warheads as a priority. It is unclear whether North Korea can build warheads, small enough for a cruise missile.
