Cross-country skier Victoria Carl is gradually establishing herself among the world’s best. One day after her fifth place in the sprint, the 28-year-old team sprint Olympic champion came sixth in the skiathlon at the World Cup in Trondheim, Norway.

At times in the race over ten kilometers each in the classic and free technique, Carl even looked as if she could make it onto the podium. At the end there were the Swedish winner Ebba Andersson as well as Jessie Diggins (USA) and Heidi Weng (Norway). Pia Fink also scored World Cup points in 18th place.
