It is the daily newspaper Le Parisien-Aujourd’hui in France who revealed the information, Friday January 12. Nordahl Lelandais became father, in prison. Her son is two months old and the identity of the mother is unknown. Information that the families of Arthur Noyer and little Maëlys received “like a slap” according to Maître Boulloud, Cécile and Didier Noyer’s lawyer.
“In my capacity as a lawyer, I know full well that a convicted person can have sexual relations in detention. That said, for the families of the victims of Nordahl Lelandais, it is somethingunacceptable, sickening, distressing”, explains Master Bernard Boulloud.
New conviction for sexual assault
Friday January 12, the Charleville-Mézières court sentenced Nordahl Lelandais to one year in prison for sexual assault on his little cousinwho was 14 at the time, in March 2017. This was just before he committed the murders of Arthur Noyer, 23, and Maëlys de Araujo, 8 and a half, in Savoie and Isère .
“Put yourself in the place of these two families. Neither Arthur nor Maëlys will ever have children because he killed them, he took their lives and their parents will never be able to be grandparents to them” , Master Boulloud is indignant.

Making the families of Maëlys and Arthur suffer again
“The other, as my clients nicknamed him, chose to make this information public, through his counsel, the day he was sentenced again. It’s a snub to justice, to families that he wants to make people suffer even more.” And the lawyer concludes: “He could think of the victims, from a moral point of view, it would be something more noble of him. But ultimately nothing else was expected of him.”
In a Facebook post, the mother of Maëlys writes: “Poor child! What “family” did he fall into?it disgusts me.” Nordahl Lelandais is currently detained in Ensisheim prison, in Haut-Rhin. He was sentenced in February 2022 by the Assize Court of Grenoble to life imprisonment, with a security sentence of 18 yearsfor the murder of Maëlys and 20 years of imprisonment, in May 2021, for that of Arthur Noyer, by the Assize Court of Chambéry.
