Nordahl Lelandais brother released for harassment

Three months in prison had been required against him. Finally, Sven Lelandais was released on Monday by the Bourgoin-Jallieu Criminal Court (Isère),
reveals The Dauphiné Libéré. The brother of Nordahl Lelandais was prosecuted for harassment against the cousin of little Maëlys. The young woman, who worked in a supermarket in Pont-de-Beauvoisin, had filed a complaint in 2020.

In March of that same year, she refused to serve the respondent and received several malicious messages in the process. Messages posted by Sven Lelandais under a pseudonym and on social networks.

A family link ignored?

During the hearing in September, the latter had assured not to know the family link between the young woman and Maëlys. What she had formally denied, explaining having received other messages “threatening and provocative” from 2017, year when the little girl was killed.

Nordahl Lelandais, suspected of the murder of the child, must be tried at the Assizes of Isère from January 31 to February 11, 2022.
