In an interview with the star Director and actor Til Schweiger spoke for the first time about his freakouts on set and his dealings with alcohol. Colleague Nora Tschirner acknowledges this openness on Instagram.

Actress Nora Tschirner publicly applauded her colleague Til Schweiger for his candid interview with the star. In the interview, Schweiger talked about his drunkenness on the set of “Manta Manta 2″ and said that he had started therapy. “I think that’s so big and impressive,” Tschirner writes in her Instagram story. What courage it takes under such public pressure and while still in therapy – I really take my hat off.”

Schweiger’s actions serve as a role model for the actress. “I was hoping that one day the moment would come when someone would publicly show how it works in a situation like this: taking emotional responsibility despite the huge hurdle of shame.” She is glad that it was Schweiger who took this step. “I’m so happy that it’s you, Til. Thanks for owning this. This is role model shit.”

Tschirner and Schweiger had made the cinema films “Keinohrhasen” and “Zweiohrüken” together; Tschirner played the screen girlfriend of Schweiger, who also directed the film. After “Spiegel” reported on allegations made against Schweiger by film industry employees in the spring, Nora Tschirner went public with a video. In it she criticized the working conditions in the film industry. At the time, she did not address Schweiger himself.
