Nokia C21 Plus: HMD Global unveils smartphone with a metal body for 129 euros

the MWC 2022 in Barcelona opens its doors. At the start of the mobile communications trade fair, HMD Global is introducing two new Nokia cell phones, the Nokia C21 and C21 Plus. They should be available from the second quarter of this year for 119 or 129 euros.

The Nokia C21 Plus in particular surprises with a number of special features in this price range. The mobile phone, which is factory-equipped with Android 11 Go, has a metal housing and a IP52 certification. You can’t go swimming with the C21 Plus, but dirt, dust and drops of water should hardly be able to harm the cell phone.

Quarterly security patches for two years

The same applies to viruses and Trojans. Because in the first two years after the market launch, the mobile phone should receive quarterly security patches. An update on Android 12 however, is not intended for smartphones.
