Attempted fraud: man wanted to sell the Queen’s “walking stick”.

He posed as an employee of Windsor Castle and wanted to sell the Queen’s walking stick. But the fraud is exposed.
Because a man in England wanted to sell a walking stick that was supposedly belonging to Queen Elizabeth II, the 26-year-old was convicted of fraud. The man had posed as an employee of Windsor Castle on an online sales platform, the PA news agency reported. He had one there shortly after the monarch’s death Offered a walking stick that she said she used in her final years.
The public prosecutor accused the man of falsely claiming that the money would go to cancer research. Interested parties would have offered up to 540 pounds (around 630 euros). The man closed the offer when he realized that the police were investigating. A court in Southampton sentenced him to 40 hours of unpaid work and must also pay around £600.
