The Nobel Prize in Medicine goes to the USA this year. Research on mRNA vaccines against the coronavirus is recognized.

The This year’s Nobel Prize in Medicine goes to the Hungarian-born researcher Katalin Kariko and the American Drew Weissman for the principles of developing mRNA vaccines against Covid-19. The Karolinska Institute announced this on Monday in Stockholm.
