They are usually not (directly) in the public eye, and yet they increase the knowledge of mankind through their work and drive our development forward: Nobel Prize winners. In the past week, outstanding representatives of their field were again honored and awarded for their special achievements for the world’s most important prize. The prizes are currently endowed with ten million Swedish crowns – that’s around 920,000 euros.
All Nobel Prize winners are known
With the announcement of the Nobel Prize in Economics, all Nobel Prize winners for this year have now been determined. The awards are traditionally presented at a ceremony on December 10th, the anniversary of the death of award donor and dynamite inventor Alfred Nobel (1833-1896). All Nobel prizes this year are again endowed with ten million Swedish crowns. Converted that is currently almost 915,000 euros.
