Nuclear tensions are rising ominously right now as never before in history. Vladimir Putin has threatened nuclear attacks, raising Russia’s offensive and defensive nuclear mobilization readiness to the highest level since the dissolution of the Soviet Union. He has joined forces with another dictator, Alexander Lukashenko of Belarus, to attack Ukraine in violation of international law and the UN Charter. All of this should also pave the way for the stationing of Russian nuclear weapons in Belarus.
