Echinger, who died in 2020 and left his entire fortune to the community, was never recognized by the community for this great gesture – apparently quite the opposite: a reader’s email on a local online platform has now pointed out that the deceased’s grave is largely neglected may be. A year and a half after Hans L.’s death, not even a gravestone was erected, and there was no grave care.

The elderly Hans L. had sold the Thalers an apartment for 300,000 euros at an estimated price of at least 550,000 euros. He entrusted his handwritten will to the mayor. In it, the municipality is used as the sole heir. The money should be earmarked for repair and equipment work at the old people’s service center. L. had spent the rest of his life there and was obviously very content.
