In a publication on the social network, a page entitled “Cœurs de Football” published two photos. One shows a soccer player with short hair, the other the new winner of the beauty contest. The two women with short hair have slightly similar hairstyles.
The text of the publication indicates: “Congratulations to Ève Gilles, Miss France 2024, who proves that you can be elected and/or play football, even with short hair, no offense to some”
“Bravo Miss Ève for your originality and for dusting off this great institution that is Miss France and moreover a football player, respect to you because you also demonstrate that women’s football can agree with the femininity represented by Miss France”, congratulated by example a user in the comments of the publication. “Well done, she was my favorite, plus she plays football,” rejoices another.
The publication was also posted on X (Twitter)and included in several videos on TikTokwhere it gives rise to the same false interpretation.
FAKE OFF
The woman in the photo on the left is not the new Miss France, but the French player Elisa de Almeida, who plays as a defender at Paris Saint Germain and in French team.
The text of the publication which misled Internet users, the “and/where” is therefore very important. These photos were posted by the Facebook page of “ Football Hearts », a media on women’s football news, Sunday December 17, the day after the coronation of Miss France 2024.
The French player also reacts to the publication of the Facebook page by reposting it on his profile accompanied by two “😅😅” emojis, quite explicit given the confusion that the latter may have created.
The passions of the 20-year-old young woman, a second year mathematics and computer science degree student, are rather horse riding and dancing, like 20 minutes mentioned it in a previous article. We can also have proof of this on the Instagram account of the new French muse.
Ève Gilles is also the target of numerous criticisms concerning her physique, including her short hair or her body. She recently expressed her “fed up” with the attacks and harassment she has received online.
