Since such important people spoke on the subject, it is legitimate to think that this is real information. The doubt arose with the update of the Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) of the official PayPal website.
Among the prohibited user behaviors listed on the site was promoting misinformation. This took into account “the sending, posting or dissemination of any message, content or material. Such violations can effectively be punished with a $2,500 fine. A sum automatically deducted from the PayPal account of users at fault.
The company explained that this updated PUA was released in error and included incorrect information: “PayPal does not fine people who spread false information and this fine was never intended to be included in our policy. And to add: “Our teams are working to correct our policy pages. We apologize for the confusion this has caused. »
The disinformation clause will therefore not be part of the site’s policy update, which will come into effect on November 3.
