The SPD wants to create a central contact point for citizens to apply for social benefits. This emerges from a position paper from the Bundestag faction that they want to decide on at their New Year’s meeting on Thursday and Friday star is present.

“We want to make access to numerous welfare state benefits as easy as possible,” the paper says.
