No bus or tram in the city center after the France-Morocco match

There will be no bus or tram on Wednesday evening in Nantes city center. The announcement was made late Monday afternoon on Tan’s social networks. This decision, which will be effective from 9:30 p.m. until the end of the service, was taken by the management of Semitan following the rant expressed during the weekend by the CFDT.

Fearing incidents on the network after the semi-final of the World Cup which will pit France against Morocco on Wednesday, the union had in fact demanded the closure of transport at 9 p.m. “for the sake of safety for agents and users. »

Lines cut just before the final whistle

The CFDT justified its fears “in view of the incidents that happened on the network following the last matches”. On videos published by West Francewe saw supporters celebrating the victory of the Blues and Morocco on Saturday evening perched on a bus.

Following these events, the management of Semitan therefore decided to review its transport offer by cutting all its lines in the city center just before the final whistle of the match.
