No, being vaccinated does not deprive life insurance in the event of death

“Read over your life insurance contracts. In case of experimental treatments such as the vaccine [contre le] Covid-19, you will not be compensated in the event of infirmity or death. Ditto for those who have taken out life insurance with a loan. “

This is the warning broadcast on social networks in recent days by a user far from isolated: several tweets, videos or blog articles denounce this same scandal – like International Network,
in a text titled “Extremely simple: life insurance and loan contracts prohibit anti-Covid vaccination”.

“For those who are committed to repaying a loan or who have taken out life insurance, if the contract stipulates that it will lapse in the event of a problem following a therapeutic trial, then as the anti-Covid vaccines are still in the tests (phase 3) at best until the end of 2022, those who sign it will be in the m… ”, we can read.

What to worry about the vaccinated people having also taken out this type of contract… but wrongly, since it is about a poison which circulates for several months already.

FAKE OFF

As early as March 2021, the French Insurance Federation (FFA) had thus denied this rumor on his site and regretted “the attempts at disinformation on a public health subject as essential as vaccination”.

Contacted by 20 minutes, she indicates to have “been informed of a rumor which evokes the existence of a clause, in the contracts of the mortgage loans, stipulating that the people having contracted a loan” cannot be part of medical experiments “, otherwise” the mortgage could be null and void “and the banks” would have the legal right to recover their property “. “

This rumor “relays the idea that anti-Covid vaccines are medical experiments and that, according to this logic, a vaccination against Covid-19 could render an agreement null and void and lead to the confiscation of the property. However, such a clause does not exist. […] Insurance contracts do not provide for exclusions relating to the consequences of vaccination, ”she continues.

In addition, the vaccines against Covid-19 have followed all the steps required to be able to benefit from a conditional marketing authorization (MA), which allows, unlike a “classic” MA, to submit new data after its launch – and which accelerates, in this case, the deployment of vaccines against the coronavirus.

As recalled recently our colleagues from AFP Factuel, the National Medicines Agency (ANSM) clearly indicates that “the conditional MA brings together all the checks and balances of a standard marketing authorization to guarantee a high level of safety for patients”.
