Buses and trams, underground and suburban trains – they form the backbone of local public transport (abbreviated: ÖPNV) in many cities and communities. With the nine-euro ticket, local transport should become even more attractive from June. But in addition to the numerous “normal” bus and train lines, there are also very special means of transport in some cities – a rowing ferry in Berlin, for example, the driverless underground train in Nuremberg, the two neighboring mountain railways in Dresden or the cog railway in Stuttgart South.
