Nine-month-missing nurse’s husband remains in jail and solitary confinement

His lawyers were expecting it a little. Cédric Jubillar, indicted and imprisoned since June 18 for “intentional homicide of a spouse” remains in detention. After the rejection of his request for release at the beginning of September, his lawyers had lodged an appeal, examined last week before the investigating chamber.

“It is urgent to wait until he is heard,” reacted ironically one of his three lawyers, Alexandre Martin. The husband of Delphine Jubillar, a 33-year-old nurse who disappeared on the night of December 15 to 16, 2020, is to be heard by the investigating judge during the month of October. His lawyers hope to have by then the results of the analyzes of the duvet, washed by Cédric Jubillar after the disappearance of his wife.

Change remand center

Until then, the latter will remain in solitary confinement at the Seysses remand center. Conditions of detention in which he has been since his detention and which will remain the same for the next three months. Friday, his lawyers have indeed pleaded before the director of the penitentiary so that he comes out of isolation. “One of the essential motivations for this refusal is that there is no possibility of individual confinement”, continues Alexandre Martin who will request his transfer to another remand center “in dignified conditions” .
