A traffic accident involving a military vehicle occurred this Thursday morning at a place called Lumelen in the town of Kervignac near Lorient. For an as yet undetermined reason, a truck carrying 19 soldiers swerved off the road before ending up in a ditch.
According to the Morbihan prefecture, nine soldiers belonging to the Lanester commando rifle base were injured and taken care of by the emergency services. Three of them were ejected from the truck under the violence of the shock but “no vital prognosis is engaged”, specify the authorities. The uninjured soldiers were repatriated to their base.
