He announces his baby’s gender

Nicolas Cage and wife Riko Shibata are expecting a child. The actor has now revealed the gender of the baby.
It’s going to be a girl! Nicolas Cage (58) has revealed the gender of the child he is expecting with wife Riko Shibata (27). On The Kelly Clarkson Show the Hollywood star spoke about the offspring. Cage announced his wife’s pregnancy in January this year.
This is the first child for Cage and his fifth wife Shibata. The actor already has two sons, Weston (31) and Kal-El (16) from previous relationships.
Nicolas Cage called fatherhood again “the greatest adventure of his life”. He had previously in one Interview with “Access Hollywood” talked about his anticipation. “My boys are all grown and I miss going to the toy store. I miss singing lullabies and rocking in the rocking chair,” he said.
Name has been fixed for a long time
Cage also announced a name for the girl. The child will be called Lennon Augie. The name is inspired by Cage’s father August, who died in 2009, and by John Lennon. The Beatle wrote Cage’s favorite song “Across the Universe”. About the song mentioned in the interview with Kelly Clarkson (39), Cage only got around to mentioning the gender of the baby. The little ones’ nickname will be Lenny.
Cage already had the possible baby names a few weeks ago opposite the magazine “GQ” announced. If it had been a boy, it would have been named Akira Francesco. This name would in turn be a tribute to his uncle, the great director Francis Ford Coppola (83).
