Before Nicola Coughlan landed her dual role in the Netflix hit Bridgerton, the actress auditioned for another series.

With her role as Penelope Featherington, who is also behind the gossip columnist Lady Whistledown, Nicola Coughlan (35) is one of the stars of the Netflix hit “Bridgerton”. However, before the actress joined the series, she auditioned for another hit Netflix series like her now in an interview with “BuzzFeed” revealed: “I auditioned for ‘Stranger Things’ a few years ago.”

Coughlan therefore wanted to play the role of Robin, which was ultimately played by Maya Hawke (23). “She was way better than I ever would have been,” says Couglan. It was a “good lesson” for her. She learned to look again at things she didn’t understand. This is the only way to understand “why it’s nothing personal”.
