In the Battle of Alberta, the Edmonton Oilers end their losing streak in the NHL. Leon Draisaitl is involved in two goals in front of an impressive outdoor backdrop.
The Edmonton Oilers have ended their losing streak in the NHL finished and won the outdoor game against the Calgary Flames in front of around 60,000 spectators.
In the 5-2 win at Commonwealth Stadium, Leon Draisaitl provided two assists and was involved in at least two goals for the fifth time this season. Connor McDavid also had an assist in his comeback after an upper body injury and a two-game break. The so-called Battle of Alberta between the Oilers and the Flames is one of the most prestigious games of the NHL season.
JJ Peterka scored to make it 1-0 in the Buffalo Sabres’ fourth win of the season. The Sabers ended up winning 4-0 against the Colorado Avalanche. Meanwhile, his national team colleague Nico Sturm lost 3-1 to the Washington Capitals with the San José Sharks and is still waiting for his first goal contribution this season after his strong World Cup last season.
