Superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes has been named Super Bowl MVP for the second time in his career. The Kansas City Chiefs playmaker received the MVP award after his stunning performance in the 38-35 National Football League Finals over the Philadelphia Eagles.

Mahomes threw three touchdown passes for a total of 182 yards in front of a crowd of 67,827. He also overcame another injury to his previously injured ankle.

“I told you this week: There is nothing that can keep me away from this place,” said the 27-year-old Mahomes at his ceremony and does not see himself and his team at the end of their successes. “We’re Super Bowl champions. It’s not a dynasty, we’re not done yet.”

The quarterback was named Main Round Most Valuable Player last week and is now the first pro since 1999 to win both the Super Bowl and the MVP title in the same season. Mahomes had already led the Chiefs to NFL triumph in 2020, and the following year there was a clear defeat in the final.
