NFL premiere in Munich: The Seattle Seahawks call for Tom Brady – Munich

The American football professional league NFL has fixed the first league game on German soil: The Tampa Bay Buccaneers with their 44-year-old playmaker Tom Brady meet the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, November 13, at 3:30 p.m. in the Fröttmaninger Arena. The league announced on Wednesday. It has been known since February that the Buccaneers will be part of the Germany premiere; opponents and dates are new. The National Football League will host one competitive game in Germany over the next four years, with Munich and Frankfurt alternating as venues.

The Seahawks as a challenger to seven-time Super Bowl winner Brady was not necessarily to be expected. Seattle has slipped into mediocrity since winning the 2014 title. For the NFL premiere, the Munich fans had hoped for a summit meeting between Tampa and the Kansas City Chiefs, the champions of 2021 and 2020. Both clubs had secured marketing rights for Germany at an early stage, Chiefs boss Clark Hunt also maintains good relations with FC Bavaria. But at the NFL headquarters in New York, they probably believed that after such a duel, an increase for future guest appearances would hardly have been possible.
