Liverpool striker Luis Diaz suffered a knee injury against Arsenal and is likely to be out for six to eight weeks.

As if losing to Arsenal wasn’t bitter enough, Luis Diaz injured his knee and will be absent from Liverpool for weeks.

After the 2:3 at the Gunners the Reds not only lost all championship hopes – so early in the season. Striker Luis Diaz will also not be available in the upcoming games. The Colombian had to leave the field after a collision with Thomas in the 42nd minute and apparently injured his knee more severely.

According to consistent media reports, the 25-year-old will be absent for six to eight weeks. Diaz does not have to have an operation on his knee, but will probably not be available until the World Cup break in mid-November, reports include The Athletic.

Diaz has recorded four goals and three assists in eleven Premier and Champions League appearances this season. So far, he has almost always been part of Jürgen Klopp’s starting XI.
