Eddie Howe once led Bournemouth into the Premier League, he has been without a club for over a year. Now he will probably take over Newcastle United.

Howe was the head coach of Bournemouth AFC from 2012 to 2020. The Cherries managed to return to the Premier League under him in 2015. After five years in the English premier league, the club from the south of England was relegated – Howe and Bournemouth then separated amicably. The former defender has been without a club since then. Howe turned down an offer from Celtic that summer.
